This new study [1]by the World Health Organization shows that a drastic rise in tuberculosis (TB), including death from TB, is directly linked with participation in IMF structural adjustment programs. Basically, IMF loan requirements force governments to cut back spending leading to lower spending on health. This then leads to more cases of TB and more cases of death from TB.

Just like the Nazi Eichmann, who planned the transportation of Jews, Roma and others to death camps and claimed he was just doing his job, the people who work at the IMF set in motion plans and policies that lead to the death of thousands if not millions (remember we are only talking about the impact of one sickness here of an infinite number). I'm sure if you ran across them at a conference or something, they too would claim they are just doing their job. So far, they've denied the findings. Death by neoliberalism, only slightly less direct and crude than death at the hands of a totalitarian state but for this reason less obvious and thus more dangerous.
